Founding / Wellfirst
The settlement was called “Wellfirst” around the town’s only well, giving rise to early development.
Construction of Minidoka Dam / Irrigation
The Minidoka Dam was built to provide irrigation and power, transforming the region’s agriculture.
Platting & Incorporation
Rupert was platted November 21, 1905; officially incorporated April 12, 1906.
